Azure Cosmos DB can serve as the database backend for self-hosted DecisionRules deployments in Microsoft Azure. This keeps application data within your Azure infrastructure while providing the database layer required by DecisionRules.
DecisionRules supports both RU-based Azure Cosmos DB and Azure DocumentDB with MongoDB compatibility for new deployments, with the database connection configured as part of the self-hosted environment.
